Taken from the Forrester ‘Information & Knowledge Management First Look, May 2010’ summary email:

SharePoint and Office 2010. Microsoft’s recent release of SharePoint and Office 2010 is creating a giant vacuum as the company has integrated even more capability into an already broad platform. This release brings enterprise-grade search (acquired from FAST Search & Transfer), advanced metadata management, improved Web 2.0 tools, clear capacity improvements to document libraries, and even tighter integrations between the Office clients, business applications, and the SharePoint server infrastructure and tools. What used to be disparate pieces are now part of a larger whole.

…and that is just the summary.  How will SharePoint & Office 2010 impact the Federal space?  More to come on that subject in a future post.

How to Get the Best of Both Google Docs and Microsoft Office

I found this article interesting and timely since I have been using both Office and Google Docs lately, as opposed to one or the other.  I have yet to utilize OffiSynch, but plan to do so in the very near future.  How do you use Office, Google Docs, or both?  Any experience with OffiSynch?  Would love to hear your feedback.
